Fontestorbes' Fountain
Fontestorbes' Fountain is located on the locality of Fontestorbes near Bélestat in Ariège (France), it has a very rare and special characteristic : the water of the fountain flows only intermittently. Even more incredible, the water flows exactly for 36 minutes and 36 seconds, then stops for 32 minutes and 30 seconds.
This phenomenon is due to the presence of two successive basins with different amounts, which discharge one into another.
To watch this periodic phenomenon ,then best time to visit Fontestorbes' Fountain would be from July to October or January (dry season) because the rest of the year, the Fountain runs permanently.
