Ouzoud waterfalls

The Ouzoud waterfalls are located in Morocco. Between Beni Mellal (120 km) and Marrakech (150 km), they are a major tourist attraction. these waterfalls measure about 110 meters.
Ouzoud waterfalls are now accessible from a small town called "Ait Attab" (about 25 KM far from Beni Mellal), or through "Oulad Ayad" (Fquih Ben Salah's Province).
You can get to the falls through a shaded path of olive trees. At the summit of the falls, there are a dozen of old small mills that are still in use. You can also follow a narrow and difficult track leading to the road of Beni Mellal by descending the gorges of "wadi El-Abid" through a canyon.

"The mosque of the booksellers", (translated as "Jamma el koutoubia") was built according a T architecture. This building tradition was taken from the "Kairouans" (ninth century), and it is also found in Spain. It is in fact a "hypostyle" building which means it has a large courtyard surrounded by a portico and a big prayer hall.
Along with jemaa el Fna, El koutoubia mosque is one of the most beautiful monuments in Morocco, if you are looking to visit a real old but amazing mosque, Koutoubia would be the one !

Jemaa el-Fna is a square situated next to the Koutoubia mosque in Marrakesh.
One of the highest tourist draws in Morocco, more than a million visitors per year come to assist to the shows hosted by monkey trainers, snake charmers, storytellers, musicians and many other popular artists (Challenges, Games, "Henna" Drawing...) from early evening ( 3.00 PM ) until the dawn prayer ( 5.00 AM ).
"The Cultural Space of Jemaa el-Fna" is since 2001 a word heritage according to UNESCO.
So if you are visiting Marrakesh , you definitively have to visit Jemaa el-fna, you'll love it.

Marrakesh is an imperial city known as the Pearl of the South, it is one of the cities that attracts a big number of tourists in Morocco and is the starting point for many excursions for those who wish to browse the Atlas or the desert a little further to the south.
The city is now focusing on luxury tourism, thanks to the massive investments by the Europeans, especially French people. Marrakesh has indeed became a favourite destination for French celebrities who love its very well preserved charm which combines luxury, elegance and authenticity. Many French stars have already bought their private "riad" in the heart of the Medina. The appearance of this luxury tourism dates back to 1967 with the arrival of Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakesh and his acquisition in 1980 of the Majorelle garden. Marrakesh is a place known for its culture, arts, traditions and architectural heritage which gradually attracted many artists. However, it is only since the 2000s that tourism in this city has grown considerably.
So if you are visiting Morocco for the first time, it is the best city to begin with...
